Brief About:

I am currently working in Daleel Petroleum Company LLC, Oman as an IT PMO & Information Security Consultant. Prior to this, I have around 8 years of experience of Information Security, Project Management and Information Systems Audit gained with Doha Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young in Pakistan, Oman, Saudi Arab and Qatar.

The key areas I have expertise in relates to setting up Information Security Management System (ISMS), Establishing the Project Management Office, Information Security Audits, IT Infrastructure Security Reviews (i.e. OS/DBs, Application and Network Infrastructure), Business process control and application control reviews, developing Information Security policy and procedure, Developing and Managing BCP/DRP, IT Risk Assessment (based on ISO27005 and ISO27001), Oracle ERP Reviews, IT Governance Reviews and Business Process Reengineering for various clients and Project management of a number of ERP implementations for Oil & Gas, Telecom, Banks and construction companies.

I also have good understanding of SCADA Systems through reviews performed for Majis Industrial Services, Daleel Petroleum Salalah Methnol Company, Oman Methanol Company and others.

The reason for joining the ambassador program is to share a platform with all of the industry Cyber security experts and to keep myself updated on the upcoming threats and ways to contribute in the initiative laid down by ITA to strengthen security within organizations in Oman.
